Tri County HBCU Alliance serves Chester, Lancaster, and York Counties.
Purpose
The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying high school seniors attending their first year of college. For the Tri County HBCU Alliance, scholarships are awarded at 3rd Place ($500); 2nd Place ($1000); and 1st Place ($1500). These are non-renewable.
Eligibility
High school students who are on track to graduate by the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year are eligible to apply for the scholarships. In addition, the applicant must be enrolled in a private school, public school district, or charter school (public school academy) in Chester, Lancaster, or York counties. The applicant must plan to attend an HBCU in fall 2025. A list of HBCUs can be reviewed at this link. The applicant cannot be an immediate family member of a board member or officer of the Alliance.
